Hang Sơn Đoòng: The World’s Largest Cave has its own ecosystem

Vietnam’s Hang Sơn Đoòng (translated to Mountain River Cave) is the largest recorded cave in the world.

Hidden deep inside Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, Quảng Bình Province, it was first found by a wandering man looking for shelter from a storm.

Inside, collapsed ceilings allow life to make its way into the depths where it’s changing on its own path.
